Main attraction: Crawdad Republic, local Livermore band that will get our feet tapping and get us out on the dance floor/lawn. This event raises funds for the Pedrozzi Foundation, so we will be helping a worthwhile cause while enjoying one another's company. Wine, beer, and food available for purchase. We have a tremendous opportunity to visit the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory campus and take a tour of the National Ignition Facility (NIF). Thanks to Beth for making the arrangements! We look forward to welcoming Mark Triska, who will provide us with information about the proposed sewer line extension to the south Livermore viticultural region. This extension supports the Livermore wine region, and is part of meeting the needs identified by the UC Davis study that Lori Souza shared with us several months ago. Measure P, on our November 8 ballot, asks us: Shall the ordinance amending the South Livermore Urban Growth Boundary policies in the City of Livermore's General Plan to allow the City to extend sewer service to permitted uses within the South Livermore Valley Area Plan Planning Area be adopted? |

Join with other Rotarians from throughout Area 4 to pack food for distibution to children from Ukraine. We will be working with Kids Against Hunger in this service project. Registration is required. We are excited to resume our annual tradition (in person!) of hosting a holiday party for the children who attend CAPE Headstart Preschool in Livermore. The children and their families are invited to the Veterans Hall, 522 South L Street, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, on Sunday, December 4. Rotarians are invited to show up at 11:30 to set up and/or to stay after the party for clean up. Please contact George Wineinger with any questions. All club members are also invited to donate new socks and/or underwear, sizes 4-6X. Please deliver these items or have them sent to Lauren Franzella at 1043 Wynn Circle by Friday, November 18. |

We will also tour several campus buildings include the Veterans First Building and the new Horticulture Building. Members must RSVP to reserve a spot. We will each pay $20 to cover the cost of breakfast. |

We will meet at Las Positas College on February 7 starting at 8:15 am. We look forward to welcoming speaker Josh Jonas, from Arukah. The meeting will be held in the Faculty Cafeteria in Building 1600 (Student Services & Administration Building) at Las Positas College, 3000 Campus Hill Dr. Parking is available for us (without a permit needed) in Lot C, directly in front of the building - we need to park in the last 3 rows. We are able to purchase coffee and continental breakfast items at the Cafe, which opens at 7:30 am. We are able to purchase heartier breakfast food starting at 8:00 am.
