Children's Holiday Party

We are excited to resume our annual tradition (in person!) of hosting a holiday party for the children who attend CAPE Headstart Preschool in Livermore. The children and their families are invited to the Veterans Hall, 522 South L Street, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, on Sunday, December 4.

Rotarians are invited to show up at 11:30 to set up and/or to stay after the party for clean up. Please contact George Wineinger with any questions.

All club members are also invited to donate new socks and/or underwear, sizes 4-6X. Please deliver these items or have them sent to Lauren Franzella at 1043 Wynn Circle by Friday, November 18.

Home Loan Programs for Current Market Conditions

George Duarte

We welcome George Duarte, MBA, CMC who will share his expertise about options for purchasing and refinancing during our current real estate market conditions. George is the broker/owner of Wentworth Enterprises, Inc. He has had his Broker's license since 1992 and has been involved in mortgage loans since 1986. George is the 2022 recipient of both the SF Bay Area Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics and the Best Mortage Broker in the Western Refion from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

We also welcome George as a sponsor of our club, sponsoring both the First and Second Annual Chili Cook Off events.

We are invited to learn about Las Positas College during a special Rotary Club visit and tour on Tuesday, January 31, in lieu of our regular meeting. We will meet at the Faculty Cafeteria in Building 1600 at Las Positas College, 3000 Campus Hill Dr. We will hear from College President Dyrell Foster as well as Director of the LPC Foundation, Kenneth Cooper, and LPC Student Government President and Student Trustee, Lara Weidemeir. We will also tour several campus buildings include the Veterans First Building and the new Horticulture Building.

Members must RSVP to reserve a spot. We will each pay $20 to cover the cost of breakfast.

Special Club Meeting - at Las Positas College

We will meet at Las Positas College on February 7 starting at 8:15 am. We look forward to welcoming speaker Josh Jonas, from Arukah. 

The meeting will be held in the Faculty Cafeteria in Building 1600 (Student Services & Administration Building) at Las Positas College, 3000 Campus Hill Dr. Parking is available for us (without a permit needed) in Lot C, directly in front of the building - we need to park in the last 3 rows. 

We are able to purchase coffee and continental breakfast items at the Cafe, which opens at 7:30 am. We are able to purchase heartier breakfast food starting at 8:00 am. To view the breakfast items available and to pre-order your food, visit Breakfast Menu at The Hawk Grill.

Crab Feed Hosted by the Rotary Club of Livermore

We are all invited to join in the fun of the 67th Annual Crab Feed, presented by our fellow Rotarians, the Rotary Club of Livermore. The event will take place at the Robert Livermore Community Center, and will include all the crab you can eat, dancing to classic country rock live music by Stagecoach, and fun socializing with our friends.

Roy Porfido, our Club Service Director, has reserved tables for us, so please let Roy know by Friday, January 20 if you are able to join the fun. The cost for a seat at a table of 8 is $85.

District 5170 International Women's Day

Kids Against Hunger Area 4 Packing Event

We are invited to join with other Rotarians from Area 4 to pack meals with Kids Against Hunger. Participants are asked to donate $20 to cover the cost of the food.

You are invited to work one of two shifts: 10:00 am - 11:30 am or 1:00 - 2:30 pm.

You are also Invited to enjoy lunch and socialize with other volunteers at 11:45 am.

Community Shredding Day Hosted by RCLV

Shred the Past . . . Look to the Future!

The Rotary Club of Livermore Valley invites community members to bring unwanted documents to a free shredding event. This is great timing for safely and privately destroying financial and legal papers that are no longer needed.

Event will be held Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Tri-Valley Car Care lot at 1737 First St, across from Zephyr Grill.

Rotarians are encouraged to volunteer to help at the event. Community members will watch as their containers are unloaded and contents shredded. Containers will be returned.

We are inviting community members to donate for this service, so that we can continue to support our community grants and service projects.
