TODAY'S PROGRAM:

Kristen Thomas, the Director of Partnership Development at Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay told us about an amazing high school.  Located in the  Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland student demographics are 80% LatinX, 15% Black and 5% Asian. Every student, starting from Freshman year, works one day a week. The school provides excellent academic programs, has a spiritual focus and the key to success is their partnership with employers. In the last three years, 100% of their students have been accepted at four year universities. The school is looking to expand their employer partnerships.
NEXT WEEK'S SPEAKER

Experimental Aircraft Association for Youth: Robin Teslich will share about a group of aviators at Livermore Airport that have a heart for sharing their passion with young people. They provide STEM activities for kids like building airplanes!
