TODAY'S PROGRAM: Livermore Airport
Pete Sandhu from 5 Rivers Aviation provided us with an excellent presentation on the uses and plans for the Livermore Airport.  Our local airport is a big asset for the city and it's regional area.

Pete Sandhu, began his career in IT, then migrated to Aviation and the Livermore Airport.  He recently moved from Atherton to Livermore.

Community Airport Initiative

Airplanes are noisy is a common complaint, today’s air operations compared to the past:

In 1969 there were 269,000+ annual operations

1993 there were 283,000+ annual operations

Today there are 197,000 annual operations 

The Livermore Airport is a Fixed Base Operation.  It provides private air terminal, hangars & aircraft storage, fuel ground support, ground transportation for VIP's, accommodations and flight catering, concierge services

The airport is Livermore’s welcome mat

it's the first impressions of Livermore for many high profile visitors.  It provides an opportunity to showcase all of our best qualities and local attractions and showcase our businesses.

The airport attracts employers

Costco, Fremont Bank, WorkDay, Ross, Home Depot, Gillig, LLNL, Lowes, GE, Albertsons, Snowflake, Tesla...

Join Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance for Live from the Grove on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Set beneath the olive trees, this special evening will bring together nonprofit leaders, philanthropists, volunteers, and community champions for a memorable celebration of generosity, connection, and impact in the Tri-Valley.

Guests will enjoy live entertainment, locally inspired food and beverages, and meaningful stories highlighting the nonprofit organizations that strengthen our region every day. The evening will offer a chance to gather with fellow supporters, celebrate the spirit of giving, and invest in the work TVNPA does to support the nonprofit sector.

Proceeds from Live from the Grove benefit TVNPA and help advance our mission of providing advocacy, collaboration, and education to strengthen the nonprofit organizations enriching our communities.
