Shred the Past . . . Look to the Future! The Rotary Club of Livermore Valley invites community members to bring unwanted documents to a free shredding event. This is great timing for safely and privately destroying financial and legal papers that are no longer needed. Event will be held Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Tri-Valley Car Care lot at 1737 First St, across from Zephyr Grill. Rotarians are encouraged to volunteer to help at the event. Community members will watch as their containers are unloaded and contents shredded. Containers will be returned. We are inviting community members to donate for this service, so that we can continue to support our community grants and service projects. |

Put on your cowboy boots, grab your hats, and let's head to the Rodeo grounds for our annual Rodeo Week tradition of meeting at the Rodeo grounds! The Cattlewomen's Association will make us breakfast, and Kathleen Minser, fellow Rotarian and President of the Rodeo Foundation, will share with us the history and upcoming fun of the 105th Annual Livermore Rodeo. We meet in the building near the arena at the Rodeo grounds, 3000 Robertson Park Road, Livermore. Members are asked to contribute $20 to offset the cost of breakfast. Our annual Rodeo Week tradition continues when our regular meeting will be held at the Rodeo Grounds on Tuesday, June 6th. We meet in the barn at the top of the hill. Pull on those boots and grab that cowboy hat, and head on over for a good time! We will enjoy breakfast prepared by the Cattlewomen's Association and learn about the Rodeo Foundation and the upcoming 105th Annual Livermore Rodeo. We are invitied to play pickleball with the Tri-Valley Pickleball Club! They are hosting a special "Introduction to Pickleball" social for us on Thursday, June 8 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at May Nissen Park. After having fun on the pickleball courts, we will enjoy pizza (provided by the Tri-Valley Pickleball Club) and potluck salads and desserts. We are encouraged to wear court shoes, and bring a water bottle and a chair. Club members and the entire community are invited to the Annual Rodeo Parade in Downtown Livermore! Our Club President Kevin McCallum will represent us in the parade. We are invited to volunteer as parade marshalls. Volunteers are invited to have breakfast at the Riata from 7:10 - 8:00 am. We will then get set up to help. Parade marshalls can bring a folding chair to watch the parade. The job is to keep people on the sidewalk and to pass out toys/lollipops to the kids. Wear your Rotary attire! The parade starts at 10:00 and usually lasts until around 11:30.
