Fellow Rotarian Mony Nop will share his journey from the Killing Fields of Cambodia to the United States, where today he is an involved citizen suporting others on their journeys.

We welcome Evelyn Andrews, Program Lead for the Veterans First Program at Las Positas College. We have awarded grants to this program in the past, so we especially look forward to hearing the update.

At this meeting, we will present a check to Carolyn Siegfried, Executive Director of the Pedrozzi Foundation, to launch the Kevin Drake Scholarship.

We welcome Kristin Thomas, who will share information about Cristo Rey De La Salle High School. Founded in 2018, this school focuses on educating underserved Hispanic, Asian American, and African American students.

We welcome Robyne Teslich who will share about EAA, the Experimental Aircraft Association. We will hear of the involvement of EAA Chapter 663 in our community and the opportunities they have for youth.

We celebrate our newest club members this week!

Our club looks forward to the annual meeting at the Rodeo Grounds where we enjoy breakfast prepared by the Cattlewomen's Association and learn about the 100+ years of the Livermore Rodeo! 

We meet in the building near the arena at the Rodeo grounds, 3500 Robertson Park Road, Livermore. Once in the gate, go left, up the hill, to the Barn. Parking is on the dirt area.

Members are asked to contribute $20 to offset the cost of breakfast. Please email Dick Fields If you would like to be billed. (Clicking on Dick's name will open your email application and is already addressed to him.)

We celebrate the winners of our Spring 2024 Club Grant awards!

President Sherri Simoni will lead the club in the final club assembly of her presidential year.

President Beth McCormick will lead us in our first club assembly of the 2024-25 Rotary Year, celebrating the theme, "The Magic of Rotary." All members are encouraged to attend and participate in this launch of the new year.

We are proud to welcome the District 5170 Governor, our own Jill Duerig, to lead our meeting and share her vision of The Magic of Rotary in the upcoming year. All members and guests are welcome!

Melanie is a driving evaluator who specializes in evaluating older drivers and their skillsets. She is a Licensed Driving Instructor and Driver Rehabilitation Professional (DRP).  Melanie is the author of the best-selling book Difficult Aging in Place Conversations, and is a speaker on the topics of aging and driving. 

We are looking forward to hearing from her at our meeting on July 23!

We are excited to welcome the students our club sent to RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp. We will hear what they learned and how they grew as young leaders. 

Huge thanks to Suzanne Richerson, our Youth Services Chair, for her leadership and guidance for these students.

Club members and RFL board members Dennis Gambs, Rich Goldstein, and Philomena Rambo, will share an overview of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore and answer any questions members may have. The RFL is the 501(c)(3) organization that is shared by our club and the noon club. Together, we run the RFL and guide its generous support of our community.

Any red badgers should plan on attending this meeting to meet a Blue Badge requirement. All others will enjoy the refresher.
